Well, the rest of the NFL had their chance to keep Kansas City down. The Chiefs were already headed in the right direction after a rocky start, and now they have wide receiver Rashee Rice back in the lineup after a suspension. And Rice paid immediate dividends, scoring a touchdown on the Chiefs’ first drive against Las Vegas on Sunday:

Rice hasn’t played since Week 4 of last season, when he collided with Patrick Mahomes, suffered a ligament injury and missed the rest of the year.

Rice missed the first six games of the 2025 season due to a suspension due to legal issues stemming from a high-speed collision in March 2024. Rice was driving a Lamborghini at high speed in Dallas, crashing into a retaining wall and causing a multi-car collision that caused several injuries. Rice later pleaded guilty to two third-degree felonies and reached a plea agreement with other victims of the crash.

Without Rice in the lineup, Kansas City ranks eighth in passing yards per game this season and posts a 3-3 record. After losing their first two games, the Chiefs are just a random Trevor Lawrence win after a 4-0 run, and Rice’s return should only bolster their chances in a decimated AFC.
