The US stock market is now open. Shares have dipped a bit since previous futures trading, with the S&P 500 (-0.04%), Russel 2000 (-0.11%), Dow (-0.14%), and Nasdaq (-0.18%) all face falls.
Some reports have already been published this morning, including Fisher Thermos, AT&Tand Vernova.
At first glance, this looks like a healthy performance by most of the companies on AM’s short list. There are some lost profits and revenues here and there, but they are not as abundant as they have been in recent days. Take a look for yourself:
This morning, before the bells ring, we’re also seeing some of the reactions from the morning reports. According to pre-market data from MarketWatch, Intuitive Surgical (+17.76%) is at the top of the market this morning after reporting solid earnings, along with Vertiv (+7.1%) and hilton (+3.1%). Some of yesterday’s earnings enthusiasm extended today as well, including Pegasystems (+12.5%), capital one (+4.12%) and Haliburton (+2.77%).
At the other end of the market, weaker after hours is showing from Texas Instruments (-7.9%) is near the top of the list of laggards on MarketWatch, followed by other results from yesterday that recorded depth such as Manhattan Associates (-7.9%), netflix (-7.4%) and Newmont (-4.77%).
In this morning’s earnings, Mattel (-5.5%) is really alone among the crop, falling after failing to deliver results and seeing a drop in sales in North America.
Good day. Stock futures were little changed overnight ahead of a string of gains this morning, with indexes rising just a few basis points.
