Stock futures rose on Friday as investors awaited monthly U.S. inflation data and weighed a series of developments on the trade front.
Futures tracking the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 51 points, or 0.1%. S&P 500 futures rose 0.3% and contracts linked to the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 added 0.5%. All three major indexes rose on Thursday, putting them on the brink of new highs.
The 10-year Treasury yield was unchanged at 4%, gold futures fell 0.9% to $4,109 an ounce and the dollar rose 0.1% against a weighted basket of its peers. West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices fell 0.3% to $61.58 a barrel.
