Alan Sheehan insists he will “find a solution” to his team’s attacking failings after defeat at Preston North End on Wednesday left Swansea City with just one win in six Championship games.

Swansea were beaten 2-1 by the high-flying Lilywhites despite having 18 attempts on goal compared to Preston’s four.

A lack of cutting edge has been the theme of Swansea’s season, with Sheehan feeling the points slipping away at Preston just as he had in last weekend’s draw at Charlton Athletic.

“(It’s) the same message as the other day. When we get to those areas, we need to be a bit more clinical, a bit calmer,” said the Swansea head coach.

“That’s the difference between one point and six (this week). We’ve been in every game this year; a lot of our draws felt like losses.

“It’s disappointing. But I’ll find a solution and we’ll get there, I have no doubts about that.”
