Slowly but surely, the Los Angeles Lakers are slowly returning to full health as they head into their five-game road trip this week. LeBron James practiced with his G League affiliate on Wednesday and Thursday without any ill effects from the case of sciatica he’s been dealing with, and guard Gabe Vincent appears to be making progress in his rehabilitation from a sprained ankle.

Guard Austin Reaves returned to action Monday after missing three games due to a groin strain, and big man Maxi Kleber recently returned from an abdominal strain. Los Angeles will face the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday and could have another player back from injury: rookie forward Adou Thiero.

Thiero, who has not been able to play since summer league due to a knee injury, is listed as questionable. James and Vincent will still be out.

Thiero, a second-round pick in June’s draft out of the University of Arkansas, is 6-foot-7, 220 pounds and has plenty of athleticism. He can drive his way to the rim and get to the free throw line, and appears to have the potential to become a very good defender as well.
