Now, Philadelphia has made its final decision on the 7-footer’s status ahead of its clash with the LA Clippers on Monday. The 76ers will be the better-rested team, as Los Angeles will play its second game in as many nights after coming up short in a heartbreaking rally effort against the Boston Celtics, which the Clippers ultimately lost 121-118 after James Harden’s shot at the buzzer fell short.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia hasn’t played since suffering a 114-105 road loss to the Detroit Pistons in an NBA Emirates Cup game on Friday.
According to Underdog NBA, Embiid will sit out as he continues to deal with the injury.
