Tennessee scored 29 points off the bench, 32 points in the paint, 24 points off turnovers, 15 second-chance points and 13 fast-break points against the Tigers.
The Vols outrebounded Tennessee State, 38-30. The Tigers committed 22 turnovers to Tennessee’s 17.
Nate Ament scored 15 points for the Vols. He also added six rebounds and four assists in 22 minutes.
Tennessee has recorded wins against Mercer, Northern Kentucky, North Florida, Rice and Tennessee State since beginning its 2025-26 regular season.
