Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter said Friday that “an announcement regarding Coach Kiffin’s future is expected” on Saturday, Nov. 29. Mississippi plays Mississippi State on Nov. 28 after a bye week in Week 13.
“Coach Kiffin and I have had many positive and direct conversations about his future at Ole Miss, including today’s meeting with Chancellor Boyce,” Carter said. “As we discuss next steps, we know we cannot lose sight of what is most important: our sixth-ranked team that is ready to finish the regular season in historic fashion. Despite the noise outside, Coach Kiffin is focused on preparing our team for the Egg Bowl and together we want to ensure that our players and coaches can fully concentrate on next Friday’s game. This team is on the cusp of an unprecedented season and it is imperative that they feel the support of the Ole Miss family in the coming week. Coach’s Future Kiffin is expected the Saturday after the game.”
