The Boston Celtics have had players wearing a total of 68 different jersey numbers (and have another three that are not part of any numerical series) since their founding at the dawn of the Basketball Association of America (BAA, the league that would become today’s NBA), worn by more than 500 players throughout Celtics history.

To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Celtics Wire covers the complete history of jersey numbers and the players who wore them since the team’s founding.

With 25 of those jerseys now retired to honor some of the greatest Celtics who wore them, there’s a lot of history to cover.

And for today’s article, we’ll continue with number 13 of 14 people who wore number 43, Boston wing alum Javonte Green. After finishing his college career at Radford, Green went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft and played in other leagues until signing with Boston in 2019.

His stay with the team would span part of two seasons and would come to an end when he was traded to the Chicago Bulls in 2021.

During his time wearing a Celtics uniform, Green wore only jersey number 43 and scored 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
