On Sunday against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field, McCaffrey found the end zone for the eighth time this season and the 28th time since the 49ers traded for him in 2022.

McCaffrey’s 28th touchdown with the 49ers broke a tie with Frankie Albert, who ran for 27 touchdowns with San Francisco from 1946 to 1952. The 29-year-old now has the eighth-most rushing touchdowns in franchise history.
While it would require an impressive effort in the team’s final four games of the season, McCaffrey could end up passing Hugh McElhenny (35) for seventh place before the year is out.
