The Baltimore Ravens are taking action ahead of their Week 14 matchup against Pittsburgh, as they are reportedly signing former Steelers running back Jonathan Ward to their practice squad.

On Tuesday, KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reported that Ward would be signing to the Ravens’ practice squad after a successful workout, a solid move for Baltimore’s depth after placing RB Justin Hill on injured reserve last week.

Signing a one-year deal with Pittsburgh in May 2024, Ward appeared in four games primarily in a special teams role while spending time on and off the practice squad. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Steelers in January 2025, but was released in June.

Ward then signed with the New York Giants, but was released as part of final roster cuts. He spent some time with the New England Patriots’ practice squad shortly after, before landing in Baltimore for potentially his 2025 regular-season debut against Pittsburgh, should the Ravens call him up for a depth role.
