The Wolverines enter Wednesday with 27 players committed to the 2026 recruiting class, including two five-star commitments and 13 four-star commitments. Those commitments include No. 6 overall recruit, edge rusher Carter Meadows, and No. 1 running back recruit, Savion Hiter.

According to 247 Sports’ composite rankings, Michigan enters early signing day with the No. 11 class in the country, with USC (No. 1), Oregon (No. 4) and Ohio State (No. 5) the three Big Ten schools ranked ahead.
The Wolverines had the seventh-ranked recruiting class in 2025, with Belleville quarterback Bryce Underwood the nation’s No. 1 recruit. Underwood had a somewhat disappointing first season as the Wolverines finished the regular season 9-3, losing handily to the top three teams on the schedule.
