The Huskers won 30 matches and only lost seven sets. They swept 25 of their 30 games in the process. Only Kentucky and Creighton forced the program to a fifth set this season.

Busboom Kelly won the award after becoming the first coach to lead a team to a Big Ten volleyball title in his first year as head coach. This is his fourth conference Coach of the Year award after winning three ACC Coach of the Year awards at Louisville.
It’s certainly been an incredible first year for Busboom Kelly. It’s also been unique in that the show hasn’t seen a major decline following Cook’s departure. This award is just another reminder of how strong Lincoln’s volleyball tradition is.
The program received the first overall seed in the NCAA tournament on Sunday night. The Huskers will face Long Island in the first round on Friday night at 7 pm CT on ESPN+.
