Team defense is essential – Indiana ranks fourth nationally in assists per field goal made and its top three players average 2.5 assists per game or more. They are running a highly efficient offense and if Minnesota doesn’t communicate and play connected on defense, I see a lot of easy baskets for the Hoosiers.

Calling Isaac Asuma – With Chancey Willis Jr lost for the season, Minnesota will need plenty of help in the backcourt. Asuma is the most likely candidate, but his play has been inconsistent and often nonexistent, looking uncomfortable in Medved’s system. He will get it, but the sooner the better.

Catch them in a game of traps? – Indiana is preparing for a showdown with No. 9 Louisville on Saturday. Is there any chance they’re overlooking the Moles tonight? How can we encourage them to really focus on the Cardinals?

PREDICTION
Without Robert Vaihola and Chancey Willis Jr, this game was going to be a real challenge. Without them, a small miracle might be necessary. Maybe Cade Tyson and Jalen Crocker-Johnson can dominate the paint and make things interesting. But at some point we’re going to have to stop the Hoosiers and probably make some outside shots. I doubt we can do either.
