It’s a difficult holiday season for several fighters.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has cut its extensive mixed martial arts (MMA) roster just days before Christmas. Today (Tuesday, December 16, 2025), sheep-dog Reporter Tom Freely revealed that five fighters have been removed from the active UFC roster, meaning they have been released from their respective contracts and/or the promotion decided not to extend them.

ricardo ramos, Vyacheslav Borshchev, Lukasz Brzeski, Marcin Prachnioand Yusaku Kinoshita They are the five fighters who lost their spots on the active UFC roster this time.
Of the group, Ramos (17-8) logged the most Octagon appearances with 15 fights. “Carcacinha” burst onto the UFC scene with three straight wins, but struggled to maintain momentum thereafter. Still, he delivered memorable moments, scoring two back elbow knockouts that earned him $50,000 performance bonuses each time.
Ramos leaves the promotion with an 8-7 record in the UFC, riding a two-fight losing streak.
Borshchev (8-7-1) entered the UFC as a decorated kickboxer after a standout knockout on the Contender Series. Although consistently entertaining (earning three Performance of the Night bonuses), “Slava Claus” struggled to translate excitement into wins. He leaves the promotion with a Record 3-6-1 and a three-fight streak.
Prachnio (17-9) had a disastrous start to his UFC tenure, losing his first three fights via first-round knockout. He recovered at the end of his career, pulling off a notable upset over Khalil Rountree Jr. and then with a kick to the body for a technical knockout. However, inconsistency plagued him as he lost four of his last six bouts.

Prachnio leaves the UFC with a 4-7 record, also on a two-fight losing streak.
Brzeski (9-7-1) managed just one win in the UFC – a notable unanimous decision over the now-ranked heavyweight. Walter Walker in Walker’s promotional debut. Outside of that victory, his UFC career was difficult, suffering four first-round losses. To further complicate matters, his Contender Series victory was later overturned to a no contest following a failed drug test.
“The Bull” leaves the UFC with a 1-6 record and three consecutive losses.
Finally, Kinoshita (6-3) arrived with considerable hype following his appearance on the Contender Series, but failed to live up to expectations. The Japanese prospect lost both of his UFC fights by first-round knockout, including his debut as a heavy betting favorite.

However, at only 25 years old, “Wonderboy” still has time to rebuild and could find his way back to successful promotion on the regional scene.
