Hurts mentioned after Sunday’s win against the Raiders that he can handle criticism because he’s dealt with it for most of his career. Wright responded by saying the criticism is fair.
“Yes, Jalen, you’re right. No one has forgotten where you came from, but that’s a knife that cuts both ways,” Wright said this week on the FS1 show. “And the fact that questions surrounding your ability to be a consistent passer all over the field have followed you at multiple levels of football. That’s when we say the problems for the Eagles, one of the leading candidates this year, is the tumult in the passing game.” …
Hurts has played poorly over the past month, contributing to three straight losses to the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Chargers. He turned the ball over a career-high five times against the Chargers in Week 14, one of the lowest points of his career.
