Left tackle Ikem Ekwonu will not be active for this afternoon’s massive matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to his knee injury. The fourth-year lineman was listed as questionable for the contest on Friday’s injury report.

As head coach Dave Canales noted during the week, Yosh Nijman is expected to get the nod in place of Ekwonu. This will be Nijman’s second start in this position in 2025, as he had already replaced Ekwonu during the first game of the season.
Carolina will also be without a pair of defensive starters: lineman Tershawn Wharton (hamstring) and inside linebacker Trevin Wallace (shoulder), who were ruled out Friday. Bobby Brown III and Claudin Cherelus will take their places in the lineup.
