Lamar Jackson injury updates: Ravens’ QB doubtful for game against Packers

Lamar Jackson missed practice Wednesday with a back contusion that has put his status for Saturday night in jeopardy. Jackson and DeAndre Hopkins (rest) were the only players to miss practice Thursday. And if he can’t play, Tyler Huntley would start at quarterback in a must-win scenario. The Ravens (7-8) are clinging to their playoff chances and will need to beat the Packers on the road in Green Bay. Jackson emerged from Sunday night’s loss to New England with a back injury, and on Monday, head coach John Harbaugh listed him as day to day with a concussion.

Jackson told reporters after the loss that his goal was to play in Saturday’s must-win Week 17 game against the Packers at Lambeau Field.

“My legs felt great. I got kneed in the back in the red zone. I just couldn’t finish the game,” Jackson said after the game, via the Ravens’ official website. “I was trying. I got a shot of Toradol and stuff like that, but it still didn’t get better.”

Jackson was 7-10 passing for 101 yards and a rating of 102.5 before leaving. Jackson has dealt with knee, ankle and toe injuries this season and hasn’t had a full week of practice since the bye week.

Overall, Jackson has thrown for 2,311 yards with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions, while increasing for just 340 yards with two scores and a 63.7 percent completion percentage.
