For almost a month, the Oregon Ducks have been reported as a school to watch for Nebraska transfer quarterback Dylan Raiola. With the Ducks’ season coming to a close, Raiola is expected to schedule a visit to Eugene in the near future, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound passer completed 69.1% of his passes and threw for 4,819 yards, 31 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in two seasons at Nebraska.

Raiola was a five-star and ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class, eventually starting during his freshman and sophomore seasons as a Cornhusker. As a transfer, he is rated as a four-star and the No. 5 quarterback and No. 14 player overall, according to 247 Sports.

Not much has been reported on Raiola’s recruitment through the portal, as he “has conducted low-key transfer recruiting to his point,” according to Nakos. But with Oregon being reported early as a school of initial interest, it appears the former Cornhusker had been waiting to schedule a visit until the Ducks’ season concluded.

Included in the report is the possibility that Raiola’s younger brother, Dayton, may also come to Oregon, as the younger Raiola was interned in Nebraska before being released in November. Dayton is a three-star recruit and the No. 103 quarterback in the class of 2026.

Current Ducks starter Dante Moore has yet to announce his plans to return to Eugene for one more season or leave for the NFL, clearly saying “I don’t know my decision yet” when asked after the College Football Playoff semifinal loss.

While Raiola has been a starter for two seasons at the collegiate level, there is a path for him to come to Oregon and redshirt for one season as Moore’s backup if he decides to return. That’s a similar plan Moore took, in which he sat behind sixth-year senior Dillon Gabriel before taking the reins as the Ducks’ starter, something Raiola could potentially emulate.

Raiola will have two seasons of eligibility.
