The Georgia Bulldogs lost a commitment from five-star quarterback recruit Jared Curtis just before the early signing period in December. Georgia and coach Kirby Smart were unable to find another quarterback recruit to replace Curtis.

The Bulldogs have been pretty quiet in the transfer portal, especially at the quarterback position. However, On3’s Pete Nakos named (subscription required) Georgia as one of the first schools to consider for Oregon Ducks quarterback Bryson Beaver transfer.

Beaver entered the transfer portal after signing with the Ducks during the early signing period. Beaver likely had second thoughts about committing to Oregon after the Ducks returned starter Dante Moore and added Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola.

Beaver was a four-star quarterback recruit in the class of 2026. He played high school football for Vista Murrieta in Murrieta, California. The talented passer is also considering the Kentucky Wildcats. He signed with Oregon, but could follow former Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein to the Wildcats.

Beaver was ranked the nation’s No. 12 quarterback and No. 174 recruit. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound passer was the No. 19 recruit in California.

Georgia is expected to return quarterbacks Gunner Stockton, Ryan Puglisi, Ryan Montgomery and Hezekiah Millender for the 2026 college football season. However, if UGA adds Beaver, it wouldn’t be surprising if one of Georgia’s four quarterbacks leaves.
