Jack Grealish’s injury is a “big blow” for Everton, admits David Moyes. The Manchester City loanee faces a long spell on the sidelines during the second half of the season.
Grealish suffered a stress fracture in his foot after the victory over Aston Villa. The club is waiting for more information from specialists before establishing the duration of his absence.

“It’s not my place to give deadlines and we haven’t had them yet, but he has a stress fracture in his foot. That’s all I can tell you,” Moyes said in the pre-match press conference before facing Leeds United.
“It’s a big blow because he’s been very important for us since the beginning of the season. He’s played an important role in the team. Look, we’ve had some injuries, but this is a big blow for us.”
Elaborating on the plan for his rehabilitation, the Everton manager added: “We are in close contact with (parent club) Manchester City, so we will see how it works as we progress and we will receive further decisions from the specialist.”
