For yet another week, Manchester United found another late winner, this time against Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Benjamin Sesko, who is yet to start a game under interim head coach Michael Carrick, scored on Fergie’s time to send the Stretford End into a frenzy.

The Slovenian has not had a good start to his life as a United player, scoring just two goals under former manager Ruben Amorim.

But since the Portuguese left, the 22-year-old has scored four goals in as many games. And it looks like he’s had help.

BenjamĂn Sesko received help

According to Nogomania, Carrick had asked his former United teammate Dimitar Berbatov to help United’s number 30 in front of goal.

“At Carrick’s request, Dimitar Berbatov held a one-on-one conversation with Å eÅ¡ko, focusing on the specific demands of leading the line at Old Trafford.

“Michael Carrick asked me to talk to Benjamin Å eÅ¡ko,” Berbatov revealed.

“We mainly talked about positioning and decision-making in front of goal. Å eÅ¡ko is an exceptional striker and has a bright future at Manchester United.”

Now for more consistency

The conversation was clearly worth it, as the young striker’s cool finish under pressure demonstrated the maturity he has on his shoulders.

The Bulgarian knows a thing or two about scoring against the Stretford End, having scored 56 goals for the 20-time English league champions.

Carrick hopes Benjamin Sesko can continue to fire consistently in the coming weeks as United look to qualify for the Champions League next season.
