Feb. 15—MISSOULA – Four players scored in double figures for Big Sky and the Eagles pulled away in the third period to defeat Glacier 65-45 in Western AA men’s basketball on Saturday afternoon. Jack McGowan led Big Sky (8-9 overall, 5-9 in Western AA play) with 13 points; Eli Kasberg added 12 and Cole Sil hit two 3-pointers to contribute 10. Carter Knopik scored a game-high 16 points for Glacier (4-13, 1-11). Talis Pitts followed with 13. Glacier tied Big Sky early behind Knopik’s 10 points in the first, but the Eagles began to pull away in the second quarter after 3-pointers from Sil and McGowan to take a 33-26 lead into the half. Big Sky held Glacier to eight points in the third period, while Sil, Boone and McGowan combined for 13 to give Big Sky a 50-34 lead heading into the final frame.
