Zeus Packaging Group has acquired Spain-based KOEX Packaging Solutions, according to an announcement on social media platform LinkedIn.
Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
The combined entity will offer integrated packaging services with a broader geographic reach for customers in Europe and North America.
This development comes as Zeus projects its group revenues will reach €600 million ($710.4 million) by 2026, supported by a workforce of more than 1,500 employees worldwide.
Premium and retail packaging specialist KOEX has operations in Miami and Paris, with manufacturing in Fuzhou, China, and serves customers in the US and Europe.
Its customer base includes brands such as Burger King, McDonald’s, Nike, Reebok, Steve Madden and TAG Heuer.
Zeus said the deal will increase production and logistics capacity within Europe and extend its presence into the United States.
The agreement brings together resources in design, sourcing, production and logistics.
KOEX team members will join Zeus Packaging Group.
On LinkedIn, KOEX said: “Together with Zeus Packaging, we will strengthen our premium and retail packaging capabilities, expand our international reach and continue to provide fully integrated solutions from concept to final delivery.”
Financial institutions involved in supporting the transaction include AIB, ING, Rabobank and HSBC. Ernest & Young and BPV provided advice.
Last month, Zeus Group and UK-based machinery specialist Engelmann & Buckham (E&B) partnered to supply integrated automation and consumables services to businesses across the UK.
The alliance integrates Zeus Group’s packaging consumables and its presence in the UK market with E&B’s expertise in automation, materials handling and packaging machinery.
