Sky Germany understands that Brighton Hove Albion now intend to sign Said El Mala and his brother Malek El Mala from 1.FC Köln in the summer.

The Premier League team wants the pair to move abroad together and support each other as best as possible in England.

Malek is expected to develop with Brighton’s under-21 team in Premier League 2, considered one of the strongest youth leagues in Europe.

The division features 29 different teams in total, including the under-21 teams of all of England’s top top-flight clubs – a perfect test for Malek.

Brighton are pushing to get ahead of Bayern and other interested clubs, with a €30m package, including bonuses, on the table.

However, it has long been known that Cologne rejected this offer. Brighton also intend to offer five-year contracts for both players.
