First half
With a 3-0 lead from the first leg, the match started very openly, with the away team needing to score from the start.

Rosa Otermín was the first to shoot from outside the area, but Phallon Tullis-Joyce ducked to avoid the first shot. Lauren Leal was next to threaten the United box, and her close-range header really should have found the target, but she could only tip the ball over the bar.
It was the Red Devils who took the lead that night and put an end to the game when Julia Zigiotti scored once again.
The Norwegian Lisa Naalsund made a labyrinthine run down the left and found Zigiotti, who shot from distance and the ball slipped under the Atlético goal.
After 41 minutes, a piece of magic completely closed the tie.

Jess Park has been a sensational and transformative signing for United, and last night he continued to show why.
A short corner routine resulted in Hinata Miyazawa setting up Park for a fierce long-range effort that perhaps two goalkeepers could not have stopped.
United went into half-time with a 2-0 lead on the night and a 5-0 lead on aggregate.
Second half
The second half continued much like the first ended, with United looking the more dangerous team. Hanna Lundkvist passed the ball over to Park, who came down the wing and faced Ellen Wangerheim, but her attempt was well parried by Lola Gallardo.

United played some lovely football in the second half and combined wonderfully when Park almost scored his second.
Wangerheim was played and a wonderful backhand found Park, who first shot with his left foot, but his shot hit the base of the post.
The match came to a somewhat quiet end, but Atlético’s Xenia Pérez was sent off in the 85th minute to make a poor night even worse for the Spanish visitors.
United emerged victorious from the match and will now face Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals of the competition.
