Without a first-round pick, the Jaguars won’t be on the clock until the 56th pick in the second half of the second round. However, they have four picks on Day 2, and perhaps that makes Jacksonville a prime trade candidate.

So who did Brugler make the Jaguars choose? Arizona State cornerback Keith Abney.
Abney is 6-0 and 190 pounds, according to PFF, and has been a starter the past two seasons, with most of his snaps at outside cornerback.
Over his career, he has allowed a completion rate of just 51% and has limited opponents to 11.1 yards per catch. He has very good ball production with five interceptions and 17 pass deflections in the last two years, in addition to being a good tackler.
“What I do best is play hard,” Abney said via Sports Illustrated. “I put in a lot of effort and do a good job of picking off receivers, just throwing them off their game. I tackle really well. I feel like I have a lot of things I can do on the field that a lot of cornerbacks probably can’t do and my instincts are something I’m good at.”

With Montaric Brown and Greg Newsome set to be free agents, the outside starting role opposite Travis Hunter is currently open for the Jaguars. Adding depth and competition at cornerback could also be on the to-do list.
The Jaguars met with Abney at the NFL combine.
