Milan’s 1-0 victory over Inter on Sunday was decided in a span of 80 seconds in which Inter could have scored, but Milan did.

There is an old saying in Italian football that goes: “Goal sbagliato, goal subito.” The translation is quite simple: if an opportunity to score a goal is missed, the opponents will score instead.

That’s exactly what happened in Sunday’s Milan derby, when the Rossoneri took all three points thanks to Pervis Estupinan’s first goal for the club.

The former Brighton defender found the net just seconds after Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s missed chance at the other end.
