Eberechi Eze gave Arsenal the lead with a fantastic goal, receiving the ball with his left foot before sweetly hitting it with his right foot on a half-volley from outside the penalty area. The shot went to the top corner of the near post for 1-0.

Declan Rice then doubled the Gunners’ lead with a very satisfying goal. The midfielder jumped to intercept, brought the ball down and then put it into the corner, also from outside the area.

The nature of the shot was very satisfying, with the ball spinning along the surface and grazing the post as it entered the net.

The two goals were added to two goals by Paris Saint-Germain against Chelsea, one from Bradley Barcola and the other from Mayulu.

Arsenal have been accused of “ugly” football at times this season, but there was no denying the beauty of their goals on Tuesday night. The nominations are certainly deserved and the Arsenal players have to be the favorites to win the award.

One Arsenal player has already won the award this season: Noni Madueke was rewarded for his incredible individual goal against Club Brugge in December.
