Keldric Faulk, EDGE (21) – Chestnut
Round 1 projected. #27 on Daniel Jeremiah’s board on January 27. Matt Miller ESPN mocked the Lions in the first round.
Concern level 3/10
Faulk’s size at 6′ 6″, 285 pounds is reminiscent of Marcus Davenport, who the Lions are looking to replace. His young age is a big positive. He had 19.5 TFL and 10 sacks in college.
Clearance surgery is definitely something to consider as it often involves cartilage loss. The exact joint is unknown, but a load-bearing joint, such as the knee, could become problematic at some point in the future. Lions Medical will surely delve into what the surgeon found in the operating room. Faulk could also have an MRI at the combined medical exams.
