The ‘Last Minute Sales Phase’ of the World Cup begins on April 1
Beginning at 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday, April 1, the “Last Minute Sales Phase” of World Cup ticket sales will open to the general public. This is the last chance to buy a ticket for a match through an official FIFA channel.
“During this final phase of the 2026 FIFA World Cup ticketing programme, tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. Fans will be able to immediately view the matches and categories for which tickets are available, select specific seats, proceed with the purchase and receive confirmation once payment is completed,” according to FIFA. “To select specific seats, fans can choose directly from the seat map option, or they can use the ‘Book the best seat’ function. Ticket holders who have purchased tickets in previous phases will also be able to view the seats they have been allocated through their FIFA account from April 1.”

Wednesday, July 15: tournament semifinal, teams to be determined
World Cup officials said there could be as many as one billion people watching the semifinal game in Atlanta, tuning in not only to the game but also to FanFest, the stadium and the overall experience in the Peach State. Atlanta previously hosted the Super Bowl, but World Cup officials said they expect that game to be four times bigger.
At least two of the matches will include Spain, favorite of the tournament led by Lamine Yamal at only 18 years old. Yamal plays for FC Barcelona as a right midfielder.
He is considered one of the best players in the world and will take the field with his teammates on June 15 and 21 in the group stage. There is also the possibility that they will play in Atlanta in the semifinal of the tournament on July 15. The eyes of the world will be on those games.
