According to a report released by CBS News MiamiThe incident took place on a narrow road on Jupiter Island. Woods was reportedly attempting to pass a truck pulling a trailer. As the truck slowed to turn, Woods’ black Land Rover SUV collided with the trailer. The impact caused the Land Rover to completely overturn. Body camera video released shows the heavily damaged vehicle resting on its side as officers assess the scene.

Prescription pills and a DUI charge
After the accident, Woods was officially charged with driving under the influence. While the golfer successfully passed a breathalyzer test administered by officers at the scene, authorities say he refused to take a urine test.
During the course of the investigation, sheriff’s deputies discovered two hydrocodone pills in Woods’ pocket. The golfer admitted to officers that he actively takes prescription painkillers.
Following the accident and his subsequent arrest, Woods pleaded not guilty and officially requested a jury trial. The incident also caused another pause in his career as a professional golfer. Woods announced that he is currently seeking treatment outside the United States and will withdraw from the upcoming Masters tournament.
