Another name to watch is KC Concepción of Texas A&M. The Rams haven’t teased him very often at No. 13, mainly because most analysts view him as a fringe first-rounder. But not Josh Norris and Hayden Winks from Underdog.

They released a new mock draft on Wednesday and in it, the Rams select Concepción with their first pick at 13th overall. That’s 16 spots ahead of consensus, according to Underdog, making it the biggest reach in this mock, but it’s a matchup that makes sense.
The Rams are looking for wide receiver help, and Concepción is a different type of player than many of the other wide receivers ranked ahead of him. He’s not as well-rounded as Tate or as big as Tyson or as physical as Lemon, but his speed and elusiveness in the open field make him a real weapon. He can be the type of playmaker the Rams hoped Tutu Atwell would be, albeit with a little less speed. We don’t know Concepción’s 40-yard dash time because he hasn’t run a single pre-draft, but according to the movie, he’s a blazer.

Concepción can separate and make plays after the catch, using his quickness to elude defenders in the open field. Additionally, he is one of the best return specialists in his class, which is a major area of need for the Rams on special teams.
