Three Warriors players will be limited in their ability to play Wednesday night, including future Hall of Famer Stephen Curry.

Curry, Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford will be limited to a maximum of 40 minutes played, according to ESPN.

“The Warriors have been trying to manage their aging superstars’ minutes all season, and the play-in game is no different,” ESPN added. “(Warriors head coach Steve) Kerr has been vocal that the league needs to adopt a shorter regular season schedule to prevent these types of injuries.”

What’s at stake for the Clippers and Warriors?

The loser of this match between Clippers and Warriors, which begins at 7 pm on Wednesday, will have their season over.

The winner will have the opportunity to continue playing, facing the loser of the Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns for the final spot in the NBA playoffs.

If the Clippers manage to win both games, they will face the defending champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, in the first round of the playoffs.

How did the Clippers get here?

After a dismal 6-21 start, the Clippers turned their season around and finished with a 40-42 record.

Despite great roster turmoil, internal tensions and injuries, the Clippers are still alive in the fight for the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
