It takes a special skill to score a header in the FIFA World Cup, and even more so to do it multiple times.

In a list of goalscorers who used their heads to find the back of the net, one player, German striker Miroslav Klose, stood out above all others – literally, in this case. Klose, who played in four World Cups between 2002 and 2014, scored seven of his 16 total World Cup goals with his head.

Klose, third in World Cup appearances with 24 appearances, also holds the record for most goals scored in the World Cup.

Just below him is another German, striker Gerd Müller, who scored five headed goals in half as many tournaments as Klose.

And in a group of players with four headed goals, fans of the US men’s national team might notice a familiar face: former USMNT coach Jürgen Klinsmann, who scored 11 total World Cup goals as a forward for Germany and scored four of them with his header.
