When asked if Getafe treats Barcelona differently in their preparations, Djene said the process remains consistent, even if the opponent is elite.
“No, we analyze the images in the same way. We have studied the team and tomorrow we will go out at full speed.”
“The good thing is that we play at home, for the fans and for all of us we have to get a good result.”
Historically, Getafe have made life difficult for Barcelona at home, and Djene believes that is no coincidence.
He pointed to the team’s intensity and mentality as key reasons behind their ability to disrupt Barca’s rhythm.

“We are the ones who cause them problems and tomorrow we are going to do the same.
“We will go out to win the game, full of energy and with the help of our fans we will get a good result.”
The conversation then turned to Lamine Yamal, whose absence has been a major talking point heading into the match.
Djene showed respect for the young Barça player although he recognized the tactical impact his absence could have.

“I am very sorry for his injury. I am sending him a lot of strength and I hope he comes back stronger.”
“We have been talking about Lamine Yamal all week and in the end he is not coming.
“He is one of the best players in the world, his absence is not good news for them and, on a personal level, I wanted him to come play here.
“But we focus on our own game. Barça is one of the best teams in the world and, without him, I am sure there will be another player who takes a step forward.”
Beyond the immediate, Djene also reflected on his personal inspirations growing up, revealing his admiration for one of Barcelona’s most iconic midfielders.

“When I started playing I admired Iniesta a lot, he is a role model for me.
“I really like his personality and his way of approaching life, that’s why I always say that he is one of my idols.”
Racism incident with Bucket
Finally, the Getafe captain addressed a delicate topic regarding racism, referring to the past controversy involving Alejandro Balde.
Djene emphasized the importance of responsibility and education when addressing these types of incidents.
“I didn’t find out what happened, but if things like that happen, the solution is to stop the game and report it. It’s a question of education that begins at home.
“Parents have to educate their children. Sometimes a parent does it with his child sitting next to him and you can be sure that the child will copy it.
“We have to set an example so that this scourge disappears” he concluded.
