Marco Sturm’s team will look for a different effort in Boston this time around. In Games 3 and 4, Buffalo was able to take a commanding lead in the series, outscoring the Bruins 9-1 in two games. 20:20: Although the Bruins had a few chances, the score was 2-0 at the end of the first period.
Two goals from Buffalo, the early one from Tuch and a second from Samuelsson, have Boston on the ropes. Lyon has made all the stops so far, and while the Bruins haven’t played terribly in front of Swayman, the goalie didn’t have a chance to get any of the goals.
Boston needs an answer in the second period.

8:00 p.m.: Casey Mittelstadt has the first big chance for the Bruins, only for a breakaway, but Lyons saves twice, once on the initial chance and once on the rebound.
