Press freedom is not a given and its absence often leaves vulnerable communities and individuals in danger. To mark World Press Freedom Day, we will hear from UN agencies, as well as war correspondents and reporters who face major obstacles trying to do their jobs. The goal is to better understand what press freedom means in practice and why it is worth defending.
