The tropical wave, called Invest 94L, is being strengthened near Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos from Thursday afternoon. Greater strengthening is expected in the next 48 hours as it advances to the Bahamas.
The National Hurricanes Center says we will probably have Tropical Imelda depression for the weekend.

While the initial model guide caused this tropical wave to stay in the sea, recent models races have changed and now make the storm move to the southeast coast at the beginning of next week. Spaghetti plots show a storm terrain anywhere between Georgia and external banks. Some show the storm about Charlotte.
The exact details, such as intensity and time, have not yet been determined. Many times, meteorologists can better understand such information once a low pressure area has been officially formed.
Regardless of the land location, the prognosis is in the tendency towards greater impacts for the Carolinas, including heavy rains, racing winds and severe climate between the period of Monday and Wednesday.
The imelda potential storm comes for a period occupied in the tropics. Hurricane Gabrielle is pushing for the North Atlantic and will bring hurricane conditions to the Azores.
We are also monitoring the tropical storm Humberto in the Atlantic, which will be strengthened in a hurricane, but it is forecast that it will remain outside our coast.
