Manchester United academy graduate Toby Collyer has revealed that Bruno Fernandes often left him in awe during training.
Collyer is currently on loan at Hull City, but enjoyed a brief spell with United’s first team during the 2024-25 campaign, where he made 13 appearances in all competitions.

In a recent interview, the 22-year-old praised Fernandes when asked which players stood out the most in training.
“In terms of ability, Bruno Fernandes,” Collyer told The Athletic.
“Some of the things he does in training make me think: ‘That’s not normal, I don’t understand it.’
“He’s obviously smart, but he makes spins where he finds a pass out of nowhere. It’s unbelievable.”
The young midfielder also praised Casemiro’s exemplary influence.
“Casemiro was also a great role model, a player I admired,” he added.
“These last four years, being around him, just watching and seeing the little things he does: first in training, ultra professional.”

Collyer played alongside Fernandes in his first European start against Rangers and joins a growing list of players who have praised the United talisman since his arrival at Old Trafford.
Fernandes is two assists away from setting a new Premier League record for most assists in a single season, currently held by Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry.
Meanwhile, Collyer hopes to help Hull secure their return to the Premier League after a nine-year absence.
The Tigers face Millwall on Friday in the first leg of their play-off semi-finals.
