Binance is moving into traditional finance with a stock and ETF trading launch that brings together more than 7,000 US-listed securities in the same app where users already trade digital assets.

The exchange said Monday that eligible users can now access U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds along with crypto tokens, with investments in fractional shares starting at $5. Binance also offers 24/5 trading for select securities, bringing the pace of market access closer to the always-on behavior that cryptocurrency traders already expect.

The launch puts Binance more squarely in the brokerage-style race that already draws crypto exchanges, fintech apps, and retail trading platforms onto the same product map. Coinbase (NASDAQ: $COIN) and Robinhood (NASDAQ: $HOOD) have been building around a similar idea: one account for cryptocurrencies, stocks and other market exposures, rather than separate apps for each asset class.

More from Cryptoprowl:

Binance is framing the launch as part of a broader push to become a multi-asset financial super app. The company said that purchases will be settled primarily in USDC (CRYPTO: $USDC), with support for BNB (CRYPTO: $BNB), USDT (CRYPTO: $USDT), USD1 (CRYPTO: $USD1) and $U, while proceeds from share sales will be received in USDC. Users will also have direct ownership of shares held through a US-regulated clearing broker, including eligibility for dividends and applicable corporate actions.

The next piece is tokenization. Binance said it plans to introduce bStocks in the coming weeks, subject to regulatory approvals. Those products will represent select U.S. stocks and ETFs through tokenized securities issued by BTECH Holdings Ltd., a special purpose vehicle registered on the Abu Dhabi Global Market.

Co-founder and co-CEO Yi He said Binance is trying to make it easier for users to move between asset classes and between traditional investing and on-chain finance. That’s the broader market read here: Binance is not only adding another product tab, it’s trying to make the boundary between cryptocurrency trading and stock market access less visible.

BNB (CRYPTO: $BNB) is currently trading at $693.53 per digital token.
