Soybeans fell between 20 and 27 cents in most contracts on Thursday as commodity values added some pressure. cmdtyView’s national average Cash Bean price fell 24 1/2 cents to $10.70. Soybean meal futures were between $3.20 and $7.10 in the red, and soybean oil futures were down between 123 and 242 points. Crude oil losses of $3.11 added some pressure.
This morning’s export sales data pegged the old crop business at 276,852 MT, a 3-week low but still 42.45% above the same week last year. China was the largest buyer at 74,800 MT, with 67,400 MT sold to Mexico and 53,700 MT to Indonesia. Sales for 2026/27 totaled 243,000 MT. Unknown Destinations was the largest buyer with 132,000 MT, with 68,000 MT sold to Costa Rica.

Bean flour sales were estimated at 231,752 MT, approaching estimates of between 200,000 and 600,000 MT. Bean oil had just 27 MT in sales, falling amid estimated net reductions of 5,000 MT to 16,000 MT in net sales.

Soybean exports from Brazil totaled 14,825 million tons in May according to data from the Ministry of Commerce, compared to 14,099 million tons the previous year. Argentina’s soybean harvest is estimated at 91.7% according to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, leaving the harvest estimate at 50.1 MMT.
On July 26, soybeans closed at $11.29 1/2, down 24 1/2 cents.
The cash close was $10.70, down 24 1/2 cents.
On August 26, soybeans closed at $11.32 1/2, down 25 3/4 cents.
On Nov. 26, soybeans closed at $11.41 1/2, down 25 3/4 cents.
