Globe, Ariz – Officials said on Saturday that three people died and believed that others were missing after they were immersed in a rural society in Arizona.
Carl Melford, Director of Jella County Emergency Management, Kpho-TV said Two people who died in a vehicle were found and a third person was found elsewhere after the flood on Friday in Globe, a city of about 7250 people about 88 miles (142 km) east of Phoenix.
“I grew up here, and I don’t get to know the city in which you grew up now,” he said.
City officials said on Facebook that researchers are looking for missing people all night, and more assistance arrived on Saturday to continue the search. They urged people to stay away from the center of the historical mining city due to the buildings at risk, dangerous chemicals and debris, including propane tanks in flood water.
