ATENS, Georgia. Ty Simpson passed for 276 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score when No. 17 Alabama stayed late to overcome No. 5 Georgia 24-21 on Saturday night and deliver to the Bulldogs their first defeat at home in six years.
Alabama (3-1, 1-0 Southeast Conference) has won three consecutive since he opened the season with a 31-17 defeat in Florida State.

Alabama finished Georgia’s winning streak in 33. It was the longest active streak among FBS schools and included 10 victories against the 25 best teams.

With the Crimson Tide leading 24-21 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the defensive liner Lt Overton left Georgia Corredor Cash Jones for a loss of 2 yards in a fourth and 1 race of Alabama 8.
“That play has really been successful for us,” said Smart. “We lost a block that you must do and crossed it and made a very good stop.”

Bowens takes over

Orientation distalification
