Borussia Mönchengladbach has announced that Roland Virkus will no longer operate as the sports director of the club with immediate effect.
According to the club’s own statement, the Executive Committee and the Supervision Board are launching the official for his suggestion.
Virkus and the Rhineland side will separate after an impressive 35 -year relationship where he held several positions in the club.
It has not yet been decided who will happen to Vurkus and will assume the responsibility of the next transfer window.
“I have always said that the club is essential, and that is why I decided to take this step,” said Virkus regarding his departure:
“We are unanimous in our committees that we want to reposition ourselves for the future of our sports activities,” added Club President Rainer Bonhof.
