Trump’s crypto dinner becomes chaotic when protesters hit Memecoin Millionaires

A high profile dinner organized at Donald Trump’s golf club, near Washington, caused intense protests and political reactions on Thursday, since the guests, many of them headlines of the Trump brand memecoin, went in the middle of a growing scrutiny about the cryptographic participation of the former president.

Approximately 100 protesters gathered near the entrance to Trump National Golf Club, directing the songs of “shame!” and holding banners warning against foreign influence and cryptographic livestock. Signs that read “The United States is not on sale” and “Memecoin Grifters go to jail” were visible as the attendees went through a security control point.

Among the attendees were cryptographic figures, investors and public personalities, including the NBA retired player, Lamar Odom. Within the event, the guests were received with decorations marked with “Fight Fight Fight”, a wink to the company behind Trump Memecoin. The gift bags included matching hats and commemorative plates. The menu presented Filet Mignon, Halibut Sartado and puree of garlic potatoes.

The dinner, organized to reward the 220 main headlines of the Trump Memecoin, followed through a public classification table, also included an exclusive reception for the 25 main holders. The presence of investors abroad raised concerns about international influence, since more than half of the leading tokens headlines used encryption exchanges abroad, many of whom restrict access for US users.

An assistant, Morten Christensen from Mexico, entered around $ 1,200 and described the event as a significant moment for Crypto supporters. “Trump made it clear that he wants the United States to lead in cryptographic innovation,” said Christensen.

After Trump’s departure, businessman Justin Sun went to the crowd, asking for unity in supporting Pro-Crypto policies. The discussions during the event also included possible integrations of Trump Coin on platforms such as EV.com, according to attendees.

Dinner caused strong repripers of Democratic legislators, who raised concerns about possible conflicts of interest. Senator Richard Blucenthal condemned the event, declaring: “He is effectively putting a sign of ‘for sale’ on the grass of the White House.” Blumenthal also participated in a press call that addressed what he described as “unprecedented presidential crypto corruption.”

In recent years, Trump has reversed his position on digital currencies, evolving from a critic to a vocal defender. Its companies have included multiple NFT collections and important family investments in cryptography related companies. Trump -related entities were also behind the launch of the Memecoin, which reached its maximum point of about $ 15 billion in market capitalization shortly after its debut in January, but since then it has decreased to around $ 2.9 billion.
