The United States government entered a closure on October 1, which potentially delayed key positive catalysts for Altcoins in the fourth quarter. These catalysts include the approval of the ETF Altcoin Spot and the conclusion of an investigation into digital asset treasure companies (DAT).

The hopes were high that an ETF of Altcoin spots, possibly a Solana ETF, was approved as soon as this month, but an extended government closure could postpone these developments indefinitely.

On Wednesday, the United States Stock Exchange and Securities Commission (SEC) issued a notice with respect to its operational status during closing. The notice included a section on “processing and approvals of presentations and records by registrants and regulated entities.”

According to the notice, the SEC will not review or approve new states of registration of financial products during closing.

The expectations for the approval of the ETF Spot Altcoin are higher than ever. This is especially true since Trump administration’s process policies have changed the position of the sec in a positive direction.

The SEC has even recently allowed “generic listing standards” for cryptography ETF. However, an operational detention of the entire government makes any regulatory progress debatable.

The previous closures have shown that most federal employees, except essential personnel, must stop working. Crypto ETF’s approvals are not found under essential services.

This means that the approval of the ETF of Solana, which was expected as soon as next week, could be delayed. Industry observers have anticipated that the ETFs of several asset administrators could be launched this week or next. These include gray and canary scale.

“It seems that a prolonged government closure would definitely affect the launch of the new spot cryptographic ETF. ETF Cryptober could be waiting a bit,” said Nate Geraci, president of Novadiuswealth, said in his X account.

It is also likely that the closure of the Government delay the investigation of Finra in progress on more than 200 DAT companies, which has been an important source of pressure on the sector.

The investigation began on the concerns that the price of the shares and the volume of negotiation of these companies increased unusually. This happened before announcing your plans to acquire cryptography assets.

This joint research of the SEC and Finra is examining the potential exchange of privileged information or the violations of the dissemination of fair regulation (REG FD).

While Finra will maintain its main investor protection functions during a government closure, non -essential services can be suspended or reduced. This would inevitably affect the rhythm of the investigation.
