Where is David Montgomery?
Montgomery grew around Cincinnati, Ohio. He became a prominent field marshal, but a corridor prospect, when he appeared in high school.
In week 5 of the 2025 season of the NFL, the Lions of Montgomery made a visit to the Bengals, which was a return home for the corridor. Before that game, Montgomery shared that it was also special for him because his sister could come to see him play after a car accident left her paralyzed the previous year.
“I think this is really special to me because my sister comes to the game,” said Montgomery, through Pride of Detroit. “Almost a year ago, maybe a year and a half, on Valentine’s Day, my sister had a really bad car accident. It is now paralyzed from the neck down. She, obviously, cannot move, but this will be the first game that my sister can really see me play with her own eyes. So I am very excited about that, and I am happy that I can be there.”
The game marked the first time of Montgomery playing a NFL game in the Bengals, its native territory.
“I think it will only be a wave of emotions,” said Montgomery, for Detroit’s pride. “I have never played in Cincinnati since I left Cincinnati, which will be great. Playing against the team that, when I grew up, that was the team, it was like My team. That was a child in the city. A group of members of my family are approaching. ”
Fox also highlighted Montgomery’s return to Cincinnati before the game, with the corridor sharing details of his education.
“For Montgomery, football became passion and road … even when the streets around him continued to take those who approach him.”

In an emotional welcome game, Montgomery ended up launching a rare touchdown pass to Brock Wright, extending Detroit’s leadership.

David Montgomery High School
David Montgomery attended Mount Healthy Jr./sr. High School in Cincinnati. During his time with the combat owls, Montgomery became a double threat field marshal, called the player of the year of Division III of Division III 2015 and the offensive player of the year of the Southwest District.
However, Montgomery was not a highly recruited prospect, with 247Sports giving him a three -star rating as the 38th best Ohio player.

David Montgomery high school statistics
Montgomery ran for a total of 6,666 yards and 91 TouchDowns in his career at four -year high school. Its 2,707 yards in 2015 were the total of the history of a single season in the history of preparation of Ohio, also with 41 TDS hurried and 10.1 yards per haul that year, according to the state of Iowa. In its last year, Montgomery also had 726 yards and seven touchdowns for the air when your team finished 8-4.

Montgomery committed to the state of Iowa, where his entire university career spent. He played for the Cyclones of 2016-18.
After leading the team in yards by land as a first -year student, Montgomery broke out in 2017. After his outstanding second year and Junior seasons, Montgomery took his talents to the NFL, becoming a third round of the Bears.
