Whittaker, an 2020 Olympic silver medalist for Great Britain, became a promotional free agent after Sky Sports’s decision not to renew his broadcasting agreement of £ 36 million of four years ($ 48.5 million) with Boxxer last June.
Whittaker (9-0-1, 6 kos) -Classified number 9 with the WBC and number 11 with the AMB, won the greatest victory of her career last April in a long anticipated revenge with Liam Cameron.
The first fight between the couple, which took place in October 2024, ended in a technical draw after both men collapsed on the strings and out of the ring during the fifth round. As a result of the fall, Whittaker could not continue, and the fight stopped. It was a controversial ending for a fight that many believed that Cameron was improving.
For his revenge, Whittaker partnered with Andy Lee, who also trains Hamzah Sheeraz and Joseph Parker. Darlaston’s fighter impressed at the second meeting, suffering and stopping Cameron in Round 2 in front of his local crowd.

Whittaker is a polarizing figure among the British sports community. His viral exhibition clown, compared to the “Prince” Nadeem Hamed, have helped him turn it into one of the largest British boxing stars.
It is a firm that is a long time for the Hearn House Room. Initially, Matchroom agreed an agreement with Whittaker in 2022 when he left the Olympic Games, even filming a promotional video to announce the measure. However, the agreement collapsed at the 11th hour with Whittaker, finally chose Boxxer’s most lucrative offer. Hearn has simply signed Whittaker on numerous occasions, and now he has his man.

“Of course, I was very close to signing before. But I am here now, and that is the main thing. I think things happen for a reason. I am in the right stage of my career now to choose the correct platform and follow the right fights. So this movement simply made sense.”
“It’s phenomenal,” said Hearn about Whittaker. “This is the best firm to make in boxing today. Ben Whittaker is a generational talent, and we are ready to bring his career to a completely new level.”
“This long -term agreement will drive Ben to the global superstractor, solidifying his reputation as a family name and directing him to future world titles. It will be No.1. He has the world at his feet and I am more than excited to finally promote this great and young.”
