Milliken & Company has introduced Millad Clearx 9000, a next -generation clarification technology for polypropylene (PP) that offers ultra clear transparency with lower additive loads.

Suitable for food containers, home storage and medical uses, Clearx 9000 aims to improve the value, appearance and operational efficiency in transparent PP applications.

According to the established Millad Platform, Clearx 9000 achieves Ultra clear PP to more efficient load levels, which reduces the required explanatory additive amount.

It is also reported that extraction and migration rates decrease in PP packaging and parts, important for medical and food contact products.

Technology offers better processing compatibility compared to previous generations, improving operational efficiency.

It also eliminates the requirement to segregate virgin and PCR resin currents, which allows more compositional flexibility.

Clearx 9000 has a wide approval of the United States Food and Medicines Administration (FDA) (AJ), which allows use in a wide range of food contact applications.

Improved additive compatibility reduces inactivity time, waste and change times for resin producers and converters.

It also works with other Millad clarifiers, helping producers to optimize the formulations for PP of Virgin and Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) and support the sustainability objectives.

Milliken Global Product Line of Plastic Aditives Business Bhavesh Gandhi declared: “Our team developed Millad Clearx â„¢ 9000 to address the growing need for clarity and efficiency in polypropylene applications.

“By reducing additive loading and migration rates, we are helping our customers create products that are not only visually attractive, but also meet the highest standards for the use of food and doctors.”

In September 2025, the Energy Investment and Development Company collaborated with Milliken to launch Luban RP2251T, a new random copolymer clarified for injection molding applications.

“Milliken presents the next -generation explanatory technology for polypropylene” was originally created and published by Packaging Gateway, a brand owned by Globaldata.
